Dish Washer

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides guests and team members with clean sanitized and spot- free utensils, plate- ware, glassware, and equipment.
  • Sets up dish machine at restaurant opening and shuts down the dish machine at restaurant close according to proper operating procedures.
  • Maintains daily cleanliness and operation of dish machine.
  • Trouble- shoots dishwasher machine malfunctions.
  • Washes plate-ware, glassware, silverware and pots/pans and kitchen utensils adhering to sanitation and cleaning procedures.
  • Keeps the kitchen clean by sweeping and mopping of floors and emptying trash regularly
  • Clean and sanitizes area throughout the shift.
  • Completes assigned prep work and beautification duties.

Cook

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares a wide variety of food, with diverse methods of preparation and adheres to specific product preparation and handling procedures and plate presentation.
  • Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
  • Prepares food in accordance to Chilis Grill & Bar specifications and maintains a high quality and consistent product.
  • Maintains cleanliness throughout the kitchen. Cleans and sanitizes throughout the shift.
  • Keeps prepared food continuously flowing smoothly out of the kitchen.
  • Communicates ticket time and potential problems with the QA, manager and servers as necessary.
  • Completes assigned prep work to stock and set up stations as necessary.
  • Ensures proper rotation of all products and stocks product according to par.
  • Breaks down, and cleans station or work area at end of shift.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Certificate in Culinary Arts/Management.

Culinary Champion

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Uphold Culinary Culture in the kitchen at all times.
  • Conduct regular and planned kitchen meetings and classrooms study sessions in the restaurant.
  • Work with franchise directors and consultants during market visits for progress updates and future plans.
  • Constantly work on and motivate/encourage kitchen team members on new dish creations which in turn channel suggestions to menu improvement to Management.

  • Diploma in Culinary Skills/Art.
  • A minimum of three (3) years in casual dining restaurant environment, experience in supervising, training staff, team building, sales building and P&L statement.

Server

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Possesses proficient knowledge of the menu in order to explain our offerings to the Guests; inform them of current specials and food promotions, and answers to enquiries.
  • Accurately writes food and beverage orders on Guest tickets and enters order into POS quickly and in proper sequence, using appropriate abbreviations and charges.
  • Serves food and beverage to Guests in a timely manner, which includes retrieving food orders from the kitchen and transporting them to the Guests in the servers’ section, as well as for any other section in the restaurant.
  • Able to assess guest demeanor and identify when behavior should be called to the attention of a Manager.
  • Follow alcohol awareness procedures for identifying age, preventing intoxication and dealing with intoxicated Guests.
  • Collect payment (credit cards, cash) for drinks and/or food served following company established accounting procedures for all transactions.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are correct and maintains accuracy and coin for making change. Operate credit card machines correctly. Accurately calculates change due to the Guest and return appropriate amount in a timely matter.
  • Maintains table appearance by pre-bussing, checking drink levels, removing clutter and providing adequate napkins, etc.

Physical

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have the stamina to occasionally work long shifts to support operation needs. Position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must be also able to deliver plates and may require lifting up to 30lbs occasionally.
Host

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greets guests and opens the door for every Guest, upon entering and departing.
  • Maintains a neat, clean and professional image with a cheerful, courteous disposition
  • Answers telephone within 3 rings and answers questions or directs calls to the appropriate staff member efficiently
  • Escorts guests as soon as possible to appropriate table.
  • Communicate Guest questions or concerns to Managers as appropriate.
  • Bids farewell to guests leaving. Ensures everything was satisfactory and invites guests to return.
  • Keeps foyer, host area, wait area and cocktail tables clean and free of clutter.
  • Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the Host station: Ensures all menus are stocked and properly cleaned and maintained. Checks for restocking of necessary supplies. Brings all areas up to standard. Discusses problem areas with manager.

Bartender

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water and sugar to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
  • Ensure that all drinks are prepared according to company recipes.
  • Serves wine, liquor, draft of bottled beer, and food to bar guests.
  • Ensures daily bar inventories correspond with bar register totals.
  • Collect payment for drinks and/or food served following company established accounting procedures for all transactions.
  • Guides and make recommendations to guests in food and beverage selection.
  • Follow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication and dealing with intoxicated guests.
  • Enters all orders into POS prior to presenting the beverage to the guest.
  • Secures and balance all monies at the end of each shift.
  • Ensure a clean and well-stocked bar and adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.

Key Team Member

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with restaurant operations and to ensure consistent delivery of quality product and excellent Guest experience.
  • Examine the restaurant to ensure conformance to SAFE, heath department standards and adherence to all safety programs.
  • Assign duties and responsibilities to Team Members according to weekly cleaning schedule and shift/station responsibilities.
  • Monitor labor and staffing resources and contact Team Members to modify work schedules and shift coverage where necessary.
  • Assist with the training of non-management Team Members and create new hire training schedules.

Training Manager

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Stays up-to-date on current training standards, organize and ensure availability of all materials, and work with management team on communications and retraining of team members
  • Conducts New Team Member in-store Orientations, and schedules “Let’s Do Lunch” session
  • Sets up weekly training schedules for all new Team Members, and coordinates trainers to be scheduled or reassigned if necessary
  • Propose monthly training budgets to General Manager incorporating ongoing development, cross-training, and replacement of positions (current and projected)
  • Able to communicate and demonstrate all restaurant operations with franchisor representatives. Submits after-visit corrective action plans to the General Manager and franchisor representatives on a timely basis
  • Ensures that Sizzle Service 2.0 is implemented in every position in the restaurant and executions are carried out correctly and effectively throughout their shift
  • Provides performance feedback to team members through verbal one-on-ones and written methods, and seeks opportunities for “coachable moments”
  • Ensures that quality training of non-management team members is properly supervised by trainers, and set up with proper training tools and schedules, ensuring all training can be verified

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Consistently conducts travel path through all restaurant areas to monitor and observe restaurant operations through Total Restaurant Awareness (TRA)
  • Assist the General Manager in restaurant operations to ensure compliance with concept and health and safety standards and acceptable financial performance.
  • Review documentation to assess the quality of restaurant operations and food safety through use of REF, SAFE, and other training tools
  • Walks through all restaurant areas to monitor and observe restaurant operations.
  • Perform food quality assurance checks before releasing it to the servers for serving of food
  • Oversee line checks for HOH and FOH, look into corrective plans and report any deficiencies to Management

Areas to monitor includes: Employee job performance; Food and labor costs, budgets, and sales; Labor payroll sheets; Operation of restaurant equipment; Food and beverage preparation, storage, inventory, and presentation; Food and beverage service; Vendor invoices and the food ordering system; Redbook/manager’s log entries; and Cash transactions, comps or voids, and amounts of cash in drawers.
  • Examines restaurant for conformance to concept and health standards.
  • Review documentation to assess the quality of restaurant operations.
  • Makes personnel decisions with regards to recruitment, termination, promotion, and salary review.
  • Generates performance reviews for all management and non-management positions.
  • Assigns duties and responsibilities to employees based upon work requirements.
  • Address employee concerns and suggestions and provides performance feedback to employees.
